Commercial Coffee is the term used to identify the quality and the usage of the coffee beans. The quality of commercial coffee according to Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCCA) starts from the Third Class Exchange Grade with defects in the beans between 9 and 23 % and the Fourth Class Below Standard Grade with defects between 24 and 86 %. Under these terms and conditions the coffee can be of lower grade Arabica coffee or higher grade Robusta coffee. The price of all coffees is determined daily by the stock markets in both London and New York. The daily closing of these markets become a yardstick to measure the price of the day with plus or minus points depending on the quality of the coffee under trade of that day.
