Bourbon coffee seedlings were originated in the French colony of Reunion Island in the southeast Indian Ocean, previously known as Bourbon. These coffee seedlings found their way later to the countries of Central and South America. Brazil Bourbon Santos is a lower altitude coffee, grown between 650 and 2600 feet above sea level. Santos coffee is known to yield a bold cup of coffee with heavy body and creamy texture. The coffee tends to have medium to low acidity, nice aroma, mild nutty flavor, and smooth sweet finish.
